Letterpress printing is a traditional form of relief printmaking. The rollers on the printing press spread an even coat of ink across a raised printing surface, which is then pressed into each individually-fed sheet of paper. The pressure transfers the ink to the paper, creating a series of identical indented prints.
We mix ink by hand, ensuring a precise match to Pantone uncoated swatches.
The tradition of letterpress is grounded in metal and wood moveable type.
We also use polymer plates made from digital artwork for unique and high-quality prints. Each color of a print requires a separate plate.
